FIRST championship context
A pilot event following the dual 2017 Championships.
FIRST introduced dual Championship events in Houston and St. Louis in 2017. The Festival of Champions was created as a culminating New Hampshire event for top teams from those Championship programs.
The Manchester competition featured the winning FIRST Robotics Competition alliances from Houston and St. Louis, extending the 2017 FIRST STEAMworks season into one final head-to-head championship event.

Part of a broader 2017 FIRST production year in Manchester.
The Festival of Champions occurred during the same year Jx2 began its multi-year production relationship with the FIRST Robotics Competition International Kickoff. Together, those projects establish 2017 as the beginning of a significant FIRST production chapter for Jx2 in Manchester.
